At the moment we are enjoy a bit of summer,who would of thought we would be wearing shorts in October in Manchester.We recently completed the Builders clean of the Windows at what was formerly known as Sale hotel along Marsland rd Sale the new Hungry Horse restaurant.
It looks like a really nice place to relax and have a meal,drink and watch some football.

Gardiner CL-X water fed pole

I been using a CL-x water fed pole recently,this is Gardiner's entry level pole and is a Carbon fibre/glass fibre composite it features the horizontal clamps which help the pole close down to a short length of about five feet and makes the pole easy to extend and close.For the price it is a fairly light and stiff pole,there are other poles they make which are manufactured in carbon fibre and are much lighter and stiffer but are considerable more expensive and would be worth the invest.For value for money for £180 for CL-X 27 is 10/10

We have been using water fed poles for cleaning the windows of our clients for a while now and this requires the use of Pure water which we pass Tap or rain water through a DI unit

After a while the resin that Purify the water is no longer doing its job and needs replacing,The Blue tank is the DI unit and the bag contains the new resin,after removing the old resin I replace it with new resin (Tulsion 115) and add a glass of water before insert the riser (the long screw with the Hozelock connecters) and twist it in and screw back tight.All ready to make more Pure water ;)

Vancouver Window Cleaning Like A Professional

To clean windows like a professional you will need the right tools, especially if your home has more than one story.

The right tools

You will need to first locate the right window cleaning tools including ladders or as the professionals do it a Tucker Pole (Tucker Pole is a water fed pole that can be extended to reach up to three stories. Next make sure to purchase or locate quality squeegee, applicator, scraper, window bucket, and microfiber wipe cloth. Your squeegee should be a 10″ to 16″ professional quality brass or stainless steel squeegee, depending on the size of windows you’ll be cleaning.

Window cleaning can be done at any time and anywhere, the optimal weather condition would be a cool, cloudy (but not rainy) day. This may be difficult in locations like Arizona. You never want to wash windows in direct sunlight or on a very hot window because they’ll dry out too fast and leave streaks. If this is the type of climate you have to work with you should consider spraying the window with cool water prior to cleaning and try to stay out of the direct sun light while cleaning your windows.

Once you have the tools and weather conditions, fill your window cleaning bucket with cool or lukewarm water (never hot) and add a small amount of dishwashing soap. Wipe away any cobwebs or debris on or around the window. Dip the squeegee into the bucket and run your hand across to get rid of any excess liquid. Wet the window and scrub. The window will begin to feel clean when it is done, as it will no longer have any rough patches. If you need to use a scraper to get rid of stubborn spots, be sure that the window is wet – never scrape a dry window.

Streak Free Window Cleaning

To ensure that you won’t leave any streaks when cleaning, try and maintain a dry rubber blade. Place this blade against the top of the window, and pull down smoothly, using your microfiber rag to dry your blade between each stroke. Repeat this process until the window is complete, being sure to overlap the dry edge of the squeegee with the dry portion of the window in order to prevent drips and streaks. To complete the window cleaning, you need to do one final stroke from left to right at the very bottom of the window. Use a dry microfiber cloth and run it around the edges of the window to soak up any remaining drips.

Your ability and speed will improve over time as you continue to develop the window washing technique that works best for you, other advanced techniques such as the swirl allow one step cleaning without having to stop and wipe your squeegee between strokes.

You now have a sparkling clean window!

I was interest in knowing how pure my tap water is before it goes through my R/O system for window cleaning and here is the reading.

Yes i am getting 030 ppm before i even send it through my system...

wonder what the reading would be if you stuck it in a mug of tea!

Manchester water is probably better than bottle water you buy......

Water Fed Pole system up and running

Water fed pole window cleaning has been out and about on my window cleaning round in Hale Barns and Stretford.Much easier to use than having to go up ladders and great for homes that have decking or stone flags which can be slippery. The system works by pumping Purified water through a tube attached to the pole and out through the brush. Then scrubbing with the brush and rinse off and left to dry clear.Pole reaches about 9 metres.

Great for when you cant park right outside customers homes as it is all portable and can be taken through the house where rear access is a challenge.

Started Building a Trolley system for water fed pole window cleaning,ready to go box from cleanspot and trolley from costco,going to sit a 25 litre container of pure water on top,easy to put in and out of the car and wheel around my jobs in Hale, Chorlton and Sale. Good on a safety aspect,ladderless and no trailing pipes!

I like to try and be as green as possible maybe i could try harder but i only use bio degradable cleaning liquids for clean and green windows (there not green in colour,be like looking through a wine bottle) hopefully the weather will stay dry

Cleaned my own windows yesterday with the pole quite difficult to get the fan motion going but washes the whole window even where there is a big bay under could nt quite see the lower part of the window but used the force! Ha, and manage to do a good job.Went back inside to examine the windows and i am pleased with the result now i just need to get the hang of it.Like learning to window clean all over again...It a nice sunny day but very cold and will have a practice on the round,good thing you can always jump up the ladder and clean the window again hopefully within time it will save me time and make me $$$$$ Thanks to The window cleaning centre

Just received my Long arm reach pole looks quite handy for cleaning windows that are difficult to reach and on decking where the Ladder could slip. good 5 meters long with a curve at the end so i can get over those window sills, Also might save my legs running up and down those ladders,dont fancy having to mess around with pipes and filtering water,window cleaning is suppose to stress free and low tech isnt it.Gonna give it a work out tomorrow.

Went down south at the weekend,roads were really busy.when i got to the dartford bridge had to wait about an hour to get across but i suppose its only expected at 6 pm on a friday.Mind you took the old wagon down for its last drive before going to the scrappy (1991 ford fiesta) good old girl been really reliable last 18 months RIP..Now i have another Fiesta to do the window cleaning round just great cars for parking around the city streets and all my ladders fit on the roof and at 45 mpg real cheap motoring...Snow recently has made those windows really grubby but spring is nearly here.keep wrap up warm and plenty of hot drinks!

Many Homeowners think they can save a few bob cleaning their own windows and really it is your own right who you chose to clean your windows whether you get a pro or do it yourself...I use to service my own car but this use to take up most of my saturday changing the oil plugs leads and then i would nt have the right tool, Id rather pay a mechanic to service the car now.Same with most little jobs we have to get done such as cleaning the windows. You have to either buy or burrow a ladder and equipment to clean the windows then get up there and do the job when you could be watching TV or doing something else you rather be doing.Usually i get a new customer after they have had a go themselves and most folk after spending a couple of hours cleaning their own windows cant bear thinking about to do them again.. Because its our job we have the equipment and knowledge to get the job done and it dont cost the earth.....

my soy flour muffin

i cooked some muffins substitute flour for soy flour suppose to be low carb anyway Im gonna put some baking powder in there next time

Have a go yourself if your brave enough but dot leave them in oven too long or they may catch alight but still taste okay not as good as my Banana muffins i made the other day i post the recipe another time for that one

Low Carb Muffins

Ingredients

§ 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil

§ 4 eggs

§ 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

§ 1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese

§ 2 tbsp soy flour

§ 1 package artificial sweetener

Directions

Preaheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat muffin cups with a little vegetable oil. (or use butter, margarine, or pan spray) Separate the eggs very carefully, allowing no egg yolk to mix with the whites. Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until frothy. Add the cream of tartar and continue beating just until stiff peaks form. Combine egg yolks,cottage cheese, soy flour, and sweetener. Fold this mixture carefully into the egg whites. Fill each muffin cup 2/3 full of batter. Bake the muffins for about 30 minutes, until the are golden brown and spring back when touched. Variation: to make spice muffins, stir ½ ts cinnamon, ¼ ts ground ginger, and 1/8 ts cloves into the soy flour before adding to the egg yolks.
